Action Adventure UDK Game Prototype

The prototype is about a team of agents for hire specialized in retrieving technology and artifacts from difficult places. As they get new a gig for one of bigger companies dominating this futuristic world things start to get fuzzy and they understand their work so far may have created a new tyrannical force. They will have to use their skills to stop this new threat.

About the prototype:
> Uses Unreal Engine Kit
> Latest playable version is Alpha (June 2011) gameplay only prototype. (Installer link above)
> Currently there is only one level in development
> Custom AI including modular chasing/static, melee/ranged, with variable shooting precision and various AI reactions to player actions
> Multiple systemic game ingredients: falling blocks, breakable blocks, dangerous plants
> Multiple exotic game ingredients: waterfalls, rock columns
> Custom signs and feedback

Controls:
> Recommended: keyboard + mouse. Xbox controller support is not great at the moment.
> Move - WASD/Left Stick (Xbox Controller)
> Rotate camera - Mouse move/Right Stick (Xbox)
> Jump - Space/A (Xbox)
> Shoot - Left mouse button/X (Xbox)
> Respawn - Space/
> Quit - ESC/Start (Xbox)
> O - Restart from checkpoint (press space to respawn)
> P - Restart from next checkpoint (press space to respawn)
> I - Restart from point of interest checkpoint (new combat area in this case). Press space to respawn.
> Mouse scroll-up - Previous inventory item
> Mouse scroll-down - Next inventory item
> Right click - Activate/Deactivate inventory item

Alpha 06 Updates:
> Added inventory system (find items, ammo)
> Added regenerable energy system for certain items. When no energy consumers are active it automatically regenerates.
> Added 3 new inventory items:
      > Sticky Mines: you can deploy and detonate them or deploy them and wait for them to get armed when am enemy gets close-by. Once armed they will follow the enemy and you can detonate it when it's between more than one enemy for better damage. This item is ammo based and you'll be able to buy/find them
      > The Shield: is an energy consuming item. If active it will absorb damage that touches it. However, absorbing damage uses more energy than simply keeping it active.
      > The Auto turret: is an energy consuming item. When active it targets enemies that are close by. Shooting enemies consumes extra energy.
> Added Player health recharge: when the player's health is below 30% it will slowly regenerate.
> Various AI performance optimizations
> New explosion damage technique for the plants enemies
> Added 3 new controls:
Mouse scroll-up - Previous inventory item
Mouse scroll-down - Next inventory item
Right click - Activate/Deactivate inventory item

Remember to use the shortcuts in order to get to the fight area quickly:
P - Restart from next checkpoint (press space to respawn)



Alpha 05 Updates
> Updated the combat AI
> Replaced previous combat area with entirely new one
> Added spaces for off main player path terrain (will add the terrain in a future update)
> Added 3 new controls:
O - Restart from checkpoint (press space to respawn)
P - Restart from next checkpoint (press space to respawn)
I - Restart from point of interest checkpoint (new combat area in this case). Press space to respawn.

Alpha build 04
> fixed some of the issues with jumping
> fixed camera bug for player respawning
> added max projectile travel time and nr of projectiles/second
